6th Street in Austin is a club hoppers dream.

Over a stretch of road about a mile long, there are dozens of clubs that play a wide variety of music.

Between the clubs are a variety of restaurants and shops.

There are also a variety of pool halls as well.

On a Friday or Saturday night, these clubs are all full of people, and many of the bands are quite good.

If the band you're listening to doesn't suit your taste, or if you want a different crowd, just walk a couple doors down the street.

There's a club to suit nearly every taste in this town.

Since Austin is a big college town, there is always a big crowd on the weekends.

They've tried their best to preserve the older look of the strip, as well.

Some of the bars have that "dive" feel to them, which I think makes the music all that much better.

I always wondered about "modeling" mixed with "massage".  Hmmmm.

Platinum X was a techno dance club I visited, and even on a Sunday night it was pretty packed after midnight.

There are a few other clubs off of 6th Street that are cool as well.

I dunno if you can see it, but one of the bands on the bill at this club is "Electric Cock".

Lucy's was another club I visited, and watched a rather cool band.  The band after them was a C&W band, so I high tailed it to Platinum X.
