The city of Moab is a small town 5 miles south of Arches National Park,
and as you can see... the entire area is very scenic.

The entrance to Arches National Park is just a half mile ahead... the
road into the park goes up the side of the cliff you're looking at in
this picture.

My first look at the terrain in the park... it's difficult not to take
pictures of everything you see, because it's all extremely beautiful.

This is a look south from the cliff just inside the gate of Arches
National Park. The highway runs right along the fault line that
created much of this landscape.

Towering walls and monstrous rock formations are the forte in this park.

Off to the right of this large rock formation you can see a section of
petrified sand dunes.

A look across the park from just north of the Park Avenue area.

Rock columns like this are very common in Arches National Park.

The park offers many stunning views of huge mesas such as these.

The landscape in this area is unlike that of any other area on earth.

Another towering column of rock.

The view out my windshield as I'm driving through the park.

Like I said, it's hard not to take pictures of everything. No
matter which way you look, you are seeing absolutely breathtaking
scenery.
