After I took the turnoff to Highway 56/412 at Springer, New Mexico I found myself driving along a small thunderstorm that was off to the south of the road.

Massive thunderheads were forming to the south...

Oops... looks like there's a storm off to the north, too.... I'm not looking forward to driving through this one...

As I continued east, the sky became darker and more nasty looking.. Still no idea whether I would make it through without getting rained on.

I guess that answers that question!  Down came the rain... So I put the camera away and focused on driving for a while..
