I crossed the Texas border at Texline around 6pm, the wind was blowing
very hard and thunderstorms loomed to the north and south.

Towns like Dalhart, Texas reminded me of growing up in Nebraska...
there's not a whole lot beside a gas station, a grain elevator, and a
few stores...

I stopped a few miles west of Dumas for a smoke, and to watch the
sunset. The Alero is still somewhat clean, besides the bug
graveyard on the front bumper.

The thunderstorms in the distance made for a very spectacular sunset...
My camera tends to wash out the color in these pics, it was much more
impressive than this in person.

The setting sun reflected off towering thunderheads off to the north.

One last look at the sunset before heading off to Amarillo for the
evening.
